Assessment and Counseling

BRVC’s veterinarians and veterinary care team members are committed to helping you and your pet with behavior and nutrition issues, including weight management. Our experience in these areas has helped pets who are anxious or fearful, have special dietary needs, or who require assistance in achieving a healthy weight.

Behavior

We understand that some pets have a more difficult time than others adjusting to the routines of everyday life. Our veterinarians are ready to help with these issues including – but not limited to – noise or thunderstorm phobia, inappropriate urination or defecation, and separation anxiety.  We’ll ask you to complete a detailed questionnaire ahead of time about your household, pet, and daily routines so we can make recommendations during your appointment to reduce or eliminate unwanted behaviors.

Nutrition and Weight Management

Diet plays a key role in the treatment of many pet health conditions and diseases. This includes everything from heart, liver, and kidney disease, cancer, dental disease and urinary conditions such as bladder stones.  Our veterinarians will make recommendations about the most appropriate food for your pet depending upon his or her own unique nutritional requirements.  We also understand that some pets need a little help achieving and maintaining a healthy weight and offer a complimentary pet weight management program for all of our patients.
