Dana E. Johnson, DVM – Associate Veterinarian
After graduating from veterinary school in 2012, Dr. Johnson worked in St. Louis and at several suburban veterinary clinics before joining BRVC in 2016. She provides veterinary care for dogs, cats, pocket pets, and birds and has a special interest in dentistry and behavioral medicine.
Dr. Dana Johnson, who grew up in Lisle, graduated twice over from the University of Illinois obtaining an undergraduate degree in biology in addition to her veterinary degree. She began her career at County Animal Hospital in St. Louis in 2012 and most recently was an Associate Veterinarian in Bloomingdale. She has a special interest in veterinary dentistry and behavioral medicine and worked for three years at the University of Illinois’ Wildlife Medical Clinic while pursuing her veterinary degree.
Dr. Johnson is a dedicated rock climber, hiker, and runner who participated in her first marathon in October 2017. She lives with her husband and furry kids; a shepherd mix named Lisle after her hometown and a red tick coonhound appropriately named Rusty.
