After graduating from veterinary school in 2012, Dr. Johnson worked at several St. Louis and suburban veterinary clinics before joining BRVC in 2016. She provides veterinary care for dogs, cats, pocket pets, and birds. Dr. Johnson, who grew up in Lisle, graduated twice over from the University of Illinois obtaining an undergraduate degree in biology in addition to her veterinary degree. ILL! INI!
After starting her career in St. Louis, she returned to lay down roots in Chicago nearer to family. She has a special interest in veterinary dentistry, behavior cases and internal medicine, but particularly loves hearing about her patients' lives outside the clinic.
Dr. Johnson is an avid outdoorswoman and can often be found camping, hiking and traveling with her husband and dog. Each year, she looks forward to planning and planting her vegetable garden and figuring out what to do with way too much produce. Recently, she began training her Dutch Shepherd Jo in competition obedience and hopes to continue to learn the world of dog sports.
