Your Appointment
New clients at Burr Ridge Veterinary Clinic should expect compassionate, exceptional, and collaborative medical care. We’ll warmly greet you and your furry or feathered family member upon arrival and ask if you’d like to wait in an exam room or the reception area. One of our veterinary technicians will ask about your pet’s medical history and any current medical conditions and medications, confirm the reason for your visit, and review this information with one of our doctors. The veterinarian will examine your pet from nose to tail, ask questions, and – as needed – recommend vaccines and/or diagnostic tests.
Depending on the reason for your visit, we’ll discuss our findings and a possible diagnosis and treatment plan with you, answer any questions you may have, and help you make an informed decision about the best medical care for your pet. After your appointment is finished, a client relations team member will review medication instructions, process your payment, and schedule any needed follow-up treatments or appointments.
Appointment Policy
While we do our best to begin appointments at their designated start time, sometimes emergencies or extremely complex medical cases may delay our doctors and technicians. Our goal is to provide exceptional care to all of our patients and hope you understand that may mean a brief wait while we tend to a critical patient.
As a growing practice, every appointment slot is valuable to us and our patients. Missed appointments and last-minute cancellations are times when sick pets could have received care.
Due to an increased number of missed appointments and last-minute cancellations, we now require 24 hours-notice for the cancellation of an appointment.
Missed appointments or those canceled without 24 hours-notice, may incur a cancellation fee per pet scheduled to be seen, payable prior to booking future appointments.
We ask that you make every effort to arrive on time; patients arriving 10 or more minutes late may need to be rescheduled and may incur a cancellation fee.
Payment Policy
So that we can continue to provide you the highest quality of services using the most advanced medical technologies, we request that payment is made at the time services are rendered. We accept payment by cash, check, American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa.
CareCredit Financing
In addition, we accept payment through Care Credit which offers several payment plan options for medical bills over $200. You may apply online at www.carecredit.com before your appointment or one of our client relations team members can help you apply the day of your appointment. We’re happy to prepare written estimates for services or procedures recommended by our doctors.
